To start off I should probably mention that I dye my hair so it always feels unmanageable, dead, and lifeless. For years I have also been using hot tools which results in an absurd amount of split ends. (seen below)
My damaged hair also stems from my lazy-ness.... I have been straightening my hair for almost 9 years, and have used heat protectant on it for maybe 1/3 of that time.
Let me save you some time away from trying to repair your hair before it gets to this point, if you plan on using hot tools on your hair ...... USE HEAT PROTECTANT!!
The Monoi Hair Mask by Carols Daughters has done the unthinkable and has significantly strengthened my dull and damaged hair! Not going to lie I was skeptical trying out a new hair mask on my hair because at this point I feel like I have tried everything and nothing has seemed to work for me. So why spend more money with no results?
I did a fair amount of research before I went out and bought a new hair treatment and from what I concluded was that the Monoi Hair Mask had raving reviews.
Packaging read: 1. Monoi Oil Conditions 2. Bamboo Water Strengthens 3. Hydrolyzed Silk Rebuilds
Sounded good to me so I stopped in at my local ULTA and purchased the 7.0 oz mask for $32.
The quote on the packaging reads, "Strengthening your hair is the only way to lengthen" which made me stop and think that maybe I should shift my focus on strengthening my hair vs. fixing the split ends and that would help lead to healthier hair all around. .
First use and I absolutely fell in love! The mask has the most calming and refreshing smell to it which is always a plus! Super easy to apply, I used about a teaspoon scoop and evenly distributed all over from roots to end and let sit and soak while I was in the shower. The best time to use the mask is while you're in the shower because the steam helps your hair really soak in the mask. After 5-10 min. rinse out. My hair may still not look the "healthiest" but its never felt so good! The mask softens and strengthens your hair significantly even after one use. My hair is chemically damaged so it really needs good nourishment and I found just that using the Monoi Hair Mask by Carols Daughters. I have also found that after using the mask for a week how much easier it is to get my hair to do what I actually want it to do!
If you find your self in the same boat as me I definitely recommend giving this product a shot!

Favorite thing about it: Smell
Least favorite thing about it: Doesn't come in a pump jar and since I always have acrylic nails on its difficult to scoop out of the jar.
