The process of 'finding the right one' is a serious struggle when it comes to hair tools.

You don't just get your first hair straightener and fall in love and thats the one you swear by for the rest of your life, and if you do then your one lucky girl.

I went through 4-5 hair straighteners before I found the right one for me and my hair type. Since the process of finding the right one didn't happen over night for me, I thought I would share what i've found to work the best for me in hopes that I can help you!

Hot tools:

Conair Curling Wand $19.99 Target

Between a curler and a wand I prefer a wand because it has no clip so you don't get those nasty crimps at the end of your hair like you would with a regular curler. This wand has 4 temp settings that goes up to 400 degrees. 1/2in to 1in tapered barrel so you hair doesn't look like those nightmare curls from 8th grade that were all going the same direction and exactly the same size. This wand is a Tourmaline ceramic wand so it eliminates all frizz which is definitely a plus.

BaByliss PRO Nano Titanium $140 ULTA

Never have I ever found a straightener better than this one. I have used many many different kinds but this one wins first place. Has over 50 temp settings, whether your hair is fine, thin, thick, coarse, short, long this one will do the trick. This straightener leaves your hair so silky smooth and very very straight. This straightener will honestly heat up in 30 seconds or less which is super super helpful if you're in a hurry. BaByliss Nano Titanium is quite pricey but worth every penny.

Hair products:

12 Benefits $18 Walgreens

I would not have know this lovely product exists if it weren't for my hair dresser whom was begging me to buy this because my hair was in dire need. With a discount off I couldn't disagree with the offer so I decided to give it a go! The smell is most definitely the best part hands down. After my shower I like to flip my head upside down and spray 4-5 sprays throughout the middle to ends of my hair and then distribute by massaging. Since this is a leave in product I was really impressed with how this product did not leave any gross feeling residue on my hair. 12 Benefits is a 'Instant healthy hair treatment' meant to reduce frizz, repair damage, strengthen hair, anti age, manageability, etc. If you find your self a store that carries 12 Benefits it's a great product I highly recommend.

TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Protectant $4 Target

I have been using Thermal Creations heat protectant since freshman year of highschool which is about 6 years now.... although i'm lazy and don't always use this it has a great smell, easy spray top, and it gets the job done.

These are the basics of what I use for my hair daily, but always open to try something different. Any products that you use that you would recommend let me know in a comment or if you have a request for a review!

Love Em, xoxo
